Without a job, you can’t gain experience. And without experience, you can’t get a job.
This is the mantra of many a graduate who has found themselves stuck in the chicken and egg cycle straight out of uni. National Apprentice Week aims to change that.
And no stranger to doing things differently, OLIVER Manchester is delighted to join the effort of ‘Blazing A Trail’ National Apprentice week, from the 4th to the 8th of March.
The agency has not only been supporting events and activities throughout the week but, at the same time, embracing two apprentices of our own.
We have been delighted to welcome graduates Emily Kidd (23) and Ben Ditchfield (26), who have joined OLIVER Manchester as Account Executive Apprentices.
OLIVER is delighted to be part of this fantastic scheme, and to be doing our part in helping two talented and enthusiastic young people beginning their careers in the creative industry.
David Sawyer, Manchester Regional Director & MD of Healthcare, said,“As OLIVER Manchester continues to grow, it is essential that we continue to build our team of people from the ground up. Both Ben and Emily have got off to a flying start and we are looking forward to watching them develop within the business.”
Ben Ditchfield, who joined us this week, said, “After leaving university, finding a job can be a difficult task without much experience. An apprenticeship at OLIVER will allow me to get that experience. Learning key digital skills while working for a leading marketing agency.”
Emily Kidd agrees, “After doing my degree in English and Film studies, I wanted to stay within the creative field but was unsure of a way into the industry. By doing the apprenticeship I’ve been able to get off to a great start, with a great creative company, whilst still being able to learn.”
Everyone at OLIVER wishes Emily, Ben, and all trailblazers, the very best for the future, and success in their chosen careers.
